The Sun’s Alan Nixon reports today that Middlesbrough boss Jonathan Woodgate is keen to give Morrison another chance to revive his career, after a stop-start season so far at Bramall Lane.

The former Manchester United wonderkid arrived at United in the summer but has made just one appearance in the Premier League off the bench. Wilder has previously praised his attitude and put his lack of game time down to the form of Ollie Norwood, John Lundstram and John Fleck.

Speaking in December, Wilder said: “There’s been some decent performances keeping decent players out.

“For every one who doesn’t get in, I can talk about a Lys Mousset, a David McGoldrick, an Olly Norwood and a John Fleck.

“I can’t put a gun to anyone’s head. But I’ve told the players who aren’t in that they have to be ready. Ravel is a part of our group.”
