Elsewhere, England are gearing up for Euro 2020, and Blades goalkeeper Aaron Ramsdale has made the provisional 33-man list for the tournament, with the final 26 set to be named before June 1st.
Speaking at the end of the Blades' final game of the season, a morale-boosting 1-0 victory over Burnley at Bramall Lane, the 23-year-old said: “The win was hugely important.
“We spoke about taking some momentum into next season and in the last five or six games, we’ve had wins and good performances.
“So we’ve come out of this period with momentum and something for the fans to have a slight cheer throughout a poor season. It was amazing that they could see it and they helped us in that last 20 minutes.”
Meanwhile, the Blades continue their search for a new manager, following Chris Wilder's shock departure back in March.
As things stand, former Watford and Fulham manager Slavisa Jokanovic looks to be the current favourite for the job, while current Blades caretaker Paul Heckingbottom and Club Brugge boss Philippe Clement are also in with a chance of landing the role.
