Sheffield United transfer news: Blades midfielder eyed by divisional rivals, Birmingham City close in on winger

While sides around them continue to sign new players, Sheffield United are yet to get the ball rolling in the summer transfer window, as they bide their time to ensure they secure the right targets.

The Blades are preparing for life back in the Championship, but will have no intentions in staying there long, with new manager Slavisa Jokanovic tasked with ensuring the side bounce straight back up to the top tier at the first time of asking.

United goalkeeper Aaron Ramsdale was brought in to replace former Blades loan star Dean Henderson, and said: “Surreal (being part of the squad) is the word, I was speechless, but also it’s tinged a little bit because I’m devastated for Deano.

“I’ve had mixed emotions really. I’ve been over the moon on my side but I saw Dean earlier on and he’s been fantastic, saying it’s my time now and I an go and help the team. I can’t speak highly enough of him.”
