Sheffield United transfer news: Big guns circle for Blades player, Promotion hopefuls join race for defender

If Sheffield United are relegated this season, they face the very real prospect of losing a number of their most valuable assets.

We’ve already seen Sander Berge linked with Manchester City in recent days, and today's batch of Premier League rumours add another couple of names to the list of potential outgoings.

First up, the Daily Mail report that Yorkshire rivals Leeds United are the latest club to cast an eye over teenage defender Kyron Gordon.

The 18-year-old is yet to make his senior bow at Bramall Lane, but has impressed for the U23s this term, and has been included in a number of first team squads, including match day contingents for the 1-0 defeat to Man City back in January and the FA Cup quarter final against Chelsea in late March.

Leeds aren’t the only side keeping tabs, however, with Manchester United, Liverpool, and Everton also interested in the youngster.

Gordon still has a year left on his current contract at Bramall Lane, and both Chris Wilder and subsequent interim boss Paul Heckingbottom are said to have been impressed by his development and attitude.

Elsewhere, Watford are understood to be keen on signing Sheffield United defender Kean Bryan on a free transfer this summer.

The 24-year-old has featured 10 times for the Blades in the Premier League this term, but is out of contract at the end of the season.

Football Insider recently reported that Burnley, Fulham, and Swansea City are interested in snapping him up, but the player himself has admitted that he would be happy to stay with the Blades.
