While a number of players were released at the end of last season, United are yet to bring in any fresh recruits, but new manager Slavisa Jokanovic is bound to bring in some players ahead of the 2021/22 Championship campaign getting underway in August.

The club are understood to be pursuing moves for two new centre-halves to address a lack of quality cover for key men John Egan and Chris Basham, and Wolverhampton Wanderers defender Dion Sanderson, who spent last season on loan with Sunderland, is understood to be among the Blades key targets.

Meanwhile, England's Euro 2020 journey continues when they face the Czech Republic on Tuesday, and ex-England star Alan Shearer has been full of praise for Blades stopper Aaron Ramsdale, who was brought into the squad to replace Man Utd's Dean Henderson.
