While there is known to be interest in Sander Berge and goalkeeper Aaron Ramsdale, as The Star reported, the club are expecting there to be some movement on at these one of those front. Both players have been linked with moves to Arsenal, with Berge at least known to have admirers in North London.

Jokanovic will speak to the midfielder this week when he arrives in South Yorkshire, conscious that if an acceptable offer for Berge doesn’t come in during this window, then there will need to be plans in place for the Norway international to be part of the team.

Ramsdale’s situation is slightly different. The keeper has spoken to the club already with regard to his future, stating that he wants to stay, however his call-up into the England squad for Euro 2020 has plunged the stopper into the spotlight. United are understood to value Ramsdale at around £40 million.

As yet, there has been no concrete offer for either Berge or Ramsdale.

As reported in The Star last week, Kean Bryan is another player who is drawing interest from elsewhere in the Championship. Bryan surprisingly gained more game time than expected in the Premier League last season and more often than not impressed in the backline. However, his contract is about to run out and he too will have talks with SLavisa Jokanovic this week about whether or the defender will sign the new contract that has been offered to him.

As reported again today in the national press, West Brom are watching developments.

Having spent a period on trial at Brighton, United have stepped in to offer the midfielder an opportunity. United recently took on another young Gunner in Will Lankshear.

St Johnstone midfielder Ali McCann is drawing the attention of a host of Championship clubs. The Northern Ireland international has come off the back of a hugely impressive season for club and country and is valued at £1million by his club. Two managers with Northern Irish links have been credited with interest in the 21-year-old from Edinburgh. Stoke City’s former NI boss Michael O’Neill is keen on taking on McCann, while Grant McCall, himself a former wearer of the green jersey, also wants the player at Hull City. Swansea City are also reported to be keen, according to The Sun on Sunday.

Barnsley look to Austrian as new boss

According to The Yorkshire Post, Barnsley look set to bring in TSV Hartberg’s Markus Schopp as the man to replace Valerien Ismael who last week took over at West Brom. Schopp recently extended his contract at the Austrian Bundesliga side and reportedly has a release clause valued at around £300,000.

Sheffield Wednesday have a big price on Josh Windass

Millwall are going to have to fork out an eye-watering £5million if they want to take Josh Windass from Sheffield Wednesday, according to The Sun on Sunday. Wednesday have already batted away two bids from the Lions and may go back in with another but it’s unlikely they will stretch to that figure in the current climate. League One Rumours
