Sheffield United transfer latest: One more big deal and left-field twists?
By Chris Wilder’s own admission, Sheffield United have previous for doing things in a “left field” fashion.
But barring any major surprises, the only major piece of business now on the club’s in-tray is finalising a loan move for Bayer Leverkusen’s Pangiotis Retsos.
The defender was undergoing the second half of his medical earlier today.
After unveiling Richairo Zivkovic as United’s latest new signing - the Dutch centre-forward arrived from Changchun Yatai this morning - United have spent much of the afternoon focusing on trimming their squad with Jake Wright departing, Ravel Morrison holding talks with Middlesbrough and Mark Duffy’s switch to ADO Den Haag expected to be officially confirmed shortly.
Wilder also hopes to find striker Leon Clarke a new club.
Sander Berge, a £22m signing from Genk, former Nottingham Forest defender Jack Robinson and Jack Rodwell, previously of Manchester City and England, joined United before deadline day.
