The international break provides good opportunity to reflect on the start of the season so far, so we asked Blades fans who they would chose as their best player so far.

It was a close vote, with new summer signing Oliver Norwood coming out on top with 33 per cent of Blades fans rating his performances highest.

Norwood, who joined United from Brighton and Hove Albion on a loan deal that will become permanent in January, has impressed with his midfield performances so far this campaign with one goal and three assists.

Blades captain Billy Sharp was runner-up with 25 per cent of the vote, hardly surprising given his goal scoring form with eight already since the start of the season.

Another new signing, Dean Henderson was next most popular with 20 per cent of fans choosing him as their favourite player so far with David McGoldrick securing 8 per cent of votes.
