Sheffield United: The tweet that has got Blades fans asking loan star to sign a permanent deal at the club

A tweet from Sheffield United goalkeeper Dean Henderson has got Blades fans online asking the Manchester United loanee to sign a permanent contract at Bramall Lane.

Henderson joined Chris Wilder's side in the summer on a season-long loan deal from the Red Devils and has fast become a fan favourite for his stellar performances and the passion he has shown in a Blades shirt.

In a tweet posted ahead of his trip away with England's under-21s during the international break, the shot stopper wrote: 'We're blades!!! 100'.

The short tweet from the 21-year-old has got United fans hoping he'll join the top of the table side permanently.

Chopper wrote: 'Pls stay forever and ever', while TheBlades added: 'Just terminate your Man U contract and sign for us - you don't need cash just love! Utb'.

One fan, @masonhiggy3, said: 'Tell ya somet, if you sign for us, I'm having your face tattooed on me' as others added just one simple word '“ 'sign'.

Henderson came through United's academy and signed a new contract at Old Trafford in June that should keep him at the club until 2020, with option of a further year extension.

He was named man of the match for his performance in Saturday's match against Hull City.
