New striker Conor Washington is on the bench for Sheffield United against Aston Villa this afternoon... and is joined by Paul Coutts.

The striker joined United on deadline day yesterday after his contract at Loftus Road was cancelled by mutual consent. He will wear the No.39 shirt at Bramall Lane.

Coutts is also in the squad for the first time since a broken leg at Burton ended his season last November. The Scot is scheduled to play against Sheffield FC in Matt Roney's testimonial at the Coach and Horses on Tuesday night.

Leon Clarke misses out due to injury, with David McGoldrick starting.

Jack Grealish plays for the visitors, alongside former Blades target John McGinn. Ex-Barnsley man Conor Hourihane is on the bench.

Blades: Henderson, Freeman, Basham, Egan, O'Connell, Stevens, Fleck, Norwood, Duffy, Sharp, McGoldrick. Subs: Lundstram, Woodburn, Coutts, Stearman, Lafferty, Moore, Washington.

Villa: Nyland, Tuanzebe, Chester, Whelan, McGinn, Grealish, Jedinak, Hutton, El Ghazi, Kodija, Elmohamady. Subs: Taylor, Lansbury, Hourihane, Bree, Bjarnason, Moreira, Hepburn-Murphy.
