Chris Wilder, the Sheffield United manager, named an unchanged side for this afternoon’s visit to The Den to face Millwall.
The United boss also named Paul Coutts on the bench as he continues his comeback from a badly broken leg. Former Blade Ryan Leonard plays for Millwall, despite agreeing a loan-to-buy move from United in the transfer window.
For United, many of their players took part in a behind-closed-doors friendly against Bury this week and none of reported any after-effects.
Blades: Henderson, Freeman, Basham, Egan, O’Connell, Stevens, Fleck, Norwood, Duffy, Sharp, McGoldrick. Subs: Coutts, Moore, Stearman, Washington, Johnson, Lundstram, Clarke.
Millwall: Amos, Meredith, Cooper, Williams, J Wallace, Gregory, Romeo, Webster, Morison, O’Brien, Leonard. Subs: Archer, Ferguson, Bradshaw, Tunnicliffe, Elliott, M Wallace, Skalak.
United have found Millwall a difficult proposition at The Den in recent seasons and travel to London hoping to avoid a third straight away defeat to Neil Harris' side.
Wilder was critical of his team's display in the corresponding fixture last term, as the hosts secured a 3-1 victory. This encounter will be the 54th meeting between these two clubs, with both recording 22 wins apiece. Remarkably only nine of their previous encounters have finished all-square.
