The Sheffield United man was confirmed in Robert Page’s squad for this summer’s tournament at the weekend, and could find himself in the same side as Gareth Bale if he is selected when Wales kick-off their campaign against Switzerland in Baku on June 12.

And Bale, a four-time winner of the Champions League with Real Madrid after an £85million move from Tottenham, confirmed today that he would be happy to pass on any advice he can to Wales’ young guns.

"They know if they want any advice, experience from us, or questions we need to answer, we're here,” Bale said.

"But come the tournament obviously there'll be stages where we'll give some advice and basically use our experience.

"When those times come, I'm sure we'll all be ready to do that."

Nineteen of the 26 members of Page’s squad have 25 senior caps or fewer, including Norrington-Davies – who spent last season on loan at Luton Town and then Stoke City as the Blades were relegated to the Championship.

He will return to Shirecliffe this summer and is expected to form part of the Blades’ first-team squad, especially with fellow defender Jack O’Connell still recovering from a knee injury that forced him to miss almost of last season.
