Sheffield United star in surprising early return from international duty

While United drew with Preston in a pre-season friendly yesterday, the Scotland star had been away on international duty with his country and was an unused substitute as Steve Clarke’s side drew 1-1 with Israel on Friday night.
Scotland were due to play the Czech Republic on Monday however, after apparent positive tests for Covid-19, the Czechs have cancelled the Nations League match.

Hide AdWest Ham’s Tomas Soucek and RB Leipzig striker Patrik Schick have been forced to self-isolate after coming into contact with a staff member who tested positive for the virus.
Both players reportedly left the squad before the Czechs beat Slovakia 3-1 last night.
The Czech Republic FA tweeted last night following the match against Slovakia: “The national team will not play against Scotland on Monday due to representatives decision and the current situation with the COVID-19. The national team ends current preparations with the immediate effect straight after the win against Slovakia.”
According to BBC Scotland, as of last night the Scottish FA were yet to be given official clarification that the match had been called off.

Hide AdFleck was due to be back in training with United on Wednesday ahead of their Premier League opener next against Wolves at Bramall Lane next Monday, however, it is now more likely that the midfielder will meet up with his club mates in two days time.
