Today (Wednesday, May 6) is the day where Blades season ticket holders will have a short window of opportunity to choose where in the ground they want to move to during the 2026/27 campaign if they want to move seats.

The club website explains in a statement: “For those season ticket holders who have renewed, we have now entered a short period during which you can move your seat.

“Due to the high volume of renewals, the number of seats available for existing season ticket holders to relocate to will be extremely limited.”

“Seats that are not renewed for the 2026/27 season will be released and made available for existing season ticket holders to move into during a dedicated window from 10am on Wednesday 6th May until 5pm on Monday 11th May 2026.”

“Unfortunately, we will be unable to accommodate any seat move requests after this period.”

The club statement also explains that any alterations to season ticket seats must be made either in person or over the phone by calling 0114 253 7200 and selecting option one. Any requests over email will not be accepted.

Blades fans have been queuing up for the last two hours as they continue to strive to secure the best seat in the house to watch their football club next year.

Sheffield United experienced a fairly underwhelming Championship campaign last year, finishing in 13th position - a drop of 10 places and 30 points from the previous season where they only missed out on automatic promotion by 10 points before falling short in the play-off final at Wembley against Sunderland.

Wilder, who replaced Ruben Selles in September just months after the club’s shock decision to sack him over the summer, has made a heartfelt promise to supporters that the coming season will be better with a busy transfer window expected in S2.

Fixtures for next season will be confirmed on Thursday 25 June at 12pm ahead of an exciting campaign where they’ll also be two extra play-off places up for grabs as part of a major shakeup in the second-tier of English football.
