SJ on refreshing the squad

I cannot refresh the team in October and November. I need to make plans for the future, I don’t want to make comments on if there’s enough quality. I am focused on other things before January. I trust in my players and need to encourage them to work, and I cannot stop. We will see about a refresh, when it is possible, what kind of movement we can do. If not, I will stay with my team. There’s no possibility of them coming before January and we’ll see if they come in in January.

SJ on dropping points

I cannot give another option than to trust in the positive things. I am working with my players. If you expect me to say they aren’t good enough, this is without sense for myself. They have ups and downs but I have responsibility for the performance of my team. I expect they care for small details and be disciplined in the game, follow the plans we have for the game. Sometimes we are going outside of the plans and doing some unnecessary jobs, we must be calm. We made more damage ourselves than the opposite team made to us.

SJ on finding solutions

I need to try solutions for our problems. If you ask me about the last game when we missed a lot of chances and stayed without points, it’s not easy to give you a right answer. After defeats I cannot stay only with the negative things. There’s a lot of space for people to be unhappy and unsatisfied but I must check what needs to be improved. I trust we need to play in the style we chose and trust in ourselves with patience.

It’s a problem. I repeat a lot of the times, I am satisfied with a lot of the game. We didn’t create a lot of things at the start of the season, we made some additions to the team and some work and created more things. It wasn’t enough for us. We need to keep going and look for the benefits of what we’re doing in training. It’s the final result that’s more important but we need to trust in our possibility and work and continue fighting.

SJ on Mousset and Davies injuries

Ben Davies, we’re still assessing, but I don’t think he’ll be available, and Lys will be available. I care about all my players. We are working in the right direction and I hope I can help him [Mousset] in the future.

Slavisa Jokanovic has finished his press conference

and here’s a rundown of the key themes...

It’ll be a tough game, they seem to have settled on a formation and play some good stuff. We’ve got to manage heir most dangerous players and be on top of our game, but I’m confident we can go there and get a win.

BO on a hangover from last year?

Recently when we’ve conceded, we’ve not looked great and that did happen last year, so maybe there’s something in that. There are clear things we can improve on and hopefully fans can see that on Tuesday night.

BO on frustration from the stands

There’s expectation this year, no disrespect to Blackpool but we’re expected to beat them at home. It’s part of football, when teams don’t get results fans can voice their opinions loudly. It’s happened before in my career bit we’ve got to deal with it better and give the fans something to shout about, rather than expecting them to push us on.
