Sheffield United Premier League matches could be streamed for free

According to a report in The Times, there have been talks between the two main domestic broadcasters and the Premier League to show a proportion of the matches on free-to-air platforms.
BBC are also likely to be able to show more highlights, however there are no plans in place for games to be shown live on terrestrial TV.

Hide AdThe plans would see the matches broadcast on Sky Sports and BT as usual, but with some being made available for non-subscribers on their youtube channels.
Some could also be shown on Amazon Prime, who streamed some matches over the Christmas period this season for the first time.
It had earlier been brought up by government officials regarding the prospect of some of the remaining games being shown on free streaming platforms however they are not putting pressure on for any of those to be shown on BBC or any other terrestrial channels.
United had 10 matches remaining before the Covid-19 pandemic brought football to a halt and were well in the race to pick up either a Champions League place or qualification for the Europa League.
