Another three-game week will factor into his thinking, though, with more rotation expected in next Wednesday’s League Cup trip to Fleetwood Town before attentions turn back to the Championship campaign.
But who should get the nod against one of the division’s fancied sides? We’ve picked the XI we believe could give United the best chance of getting a result, with a blend of experience, energy and attacking threat.
There are places for some of the key performers from the opening weeks of the campaign, while the shape could get the best out of United’s players.
Scroll through our gallery below to see our predicted team and the thinking behind each selection - is this the XI you’d go with or would you go with something different?

1. Michael Cooper
Has made a solid start between the sticks and offers confidence behind what could be a busy defence against a Wolves side with plenty of attacking quality | ugc

2. Matt Doherty
The experienced right-back gets the nod for his know-how and ability to cope with the physical and technical demands of a game like this. It’s not a sentimental selection either against his former club, more that Choudhury looked to be struggling on Tuesday and could come on after an hour for Doherty | ugc

3. Japhet Tanganga
A strong presence at the heart of the defence. His pace and physicality could be particularly important against Wolves’ forwards, but he and the rest of his defenders will have to be close to their best | ugc

4. Jamie Kitching
Keeps his place after a positive start to his Blades career. Will need to be composed and switched on against a step up in attacking threat compared to what he’s faced so far at the Lane | ugc
