But how did United’s players fare? Our man at Molineux offers his player ratings from the game.
9. John Fleck 7.5
Saw a good chance to make it 2-0 in the first half saved by Patricio after a good pass from Mousset. Booked for a ‘professional’ tug of Jimenez as he broke clear. Set up two clear sights of goal for his strikers in the second half | JPIMedia Photo: Simon Bellis
10. David McGoldrick 7
Enjoyed at least two good chances to get on the scoresheet but is still waiting for his first Premier League goal. Showed some moments of magic on the ball before he was replaced by McBurnie with about 18 minutes left | JPIMedia Photo: James Wilson
11. Lys Mousset 7.5
Put the Blades ahead early on and almost added a second instantly as he seized on a poor pass from the restart. But overhit a couple of passes when United were well placed to extend their lead in the first half | JPIMedia Photo: James Wilson
12. Oli McBurnie n/a
Replaced McGoldrick and almost scored a winner late on, heading over the bar | JPIMedia Photo: Darren Staples
