Anis Slimane, George Baldock and Iliman Ndiaye were on target for the Blades, who were missing three players - Ollie Norwood, John Fleck and Daniel Jebbison - through injury, with the new Premier League season only two weeks away.
Ndiaye’s future continues to be the source of speculation but he was as impactful as ever here in Derby, linking up well with Will Osula and putting the gloss on the victory with a third goal that rattled off the crossbar and in.
Here are our player ratings from the Blades’ second win of pre-season...

5. Jack Robinson 6
Attracted the frustration of Curtis Nelson with a crunching second-half tackle, the Derby man attempting to chase down Robinson to take the matter further before, probably sensibly, changing his mind | Sportimage

6. Max Lowe 7
Good defending early on at the back post saw him do just about enough to put off Mendez-Laing from a dangerous Derby cross. Always willing to get forward and offer his teammates an option, and his trademark low (Lowe?) cross from the left led to Baldock’s left-footed stunner | Sportimage

7. Sander Berge 7
A lovely half-turn in midfield saw him race away from Bird like he wasn’t there before his intended pass to send Osula free was just about cut out by the Derby defence. Looked like he had so much time on the ball and also put in a real shift defensively, heading away dangerous corners and being in the right place to cut out a low cross that Collins was looking to tap home. Lovely pass set Ahmedhodzic free for his chance | Sheffield United

8. Ben Osborn 6
Looked busy and industrious on the ball against his boyhood club in the absence of John Fleck and Ollie Norwood. Replaced late in the game by Andre Brooks after another useful workout | Getty Images
