'Good faces to see' - Callum O'Hare relishing Sheffield United return ahead of Wrexham fixture

Callum O’Hare will be hoping to make his mark when he returns to Bramall Lane with Wrexham to face Sheffield United on Friday night.

Attacking midfielder Callum O’Hare is looking forward to returning to Bramall Lane for the first time since his deadline day exit ahead of Wrexham’s clash with Sheffield United on Friday evening.

O’Hare’s two-year stay at Bramall Lane came to an end at the start of last month when he sealed a move to Wrexham for a fee in the region of £7million. He was the third big-name player to leave Bramall Lane during what proved to be a difficult summer transfer window for the Blades.

The former Coventry City man was a key figure for the Blades last season, scoring nine Championship goals to help Chris Wilder’s side recover from their disastrous start to the campaign and eventually finish comfortably in mid-table.

Although he has been a regular starter for Wrexham since completing his move to the Racecourse Ground almost two months ago, O’Hare is still searching for his first goal for the club. He is also yet to register an assist.

Wrexham have made an underwhelming start to the campaign despite another summer of spending, picking up just 14 points from their first 12 matches. They currently sit 17th in the table, five places and two points behind the Blades.

“The Championship's crazy,” O’Hare said, as quoted by Wrexham’s website. “I don't think anyone can predict any of the results; every game's different, but if you get a run together and you get consistency, keep getting three points, that's what matters the most, so that's what we need to do.

“I'm looking forward to going back to my old club. We had good seasons, there are good faces to see, but mainly we just want to get three points and win.

“It'll be a good game, but we're just focused on getting three points on Friday night because we need them."

Wrexham were beaten 2-0 by Blackburn Rovers at Ewood Park last time out, leaving them winless in their last four away games. Nevertheless, O’Hare has been impressed by the support he and his teammates have received from the fans and has urged them to continue backing the team ahead of their trip to Bramall Lane.

O’Hare added: “It was unbelievable support. They are there right to the end, supporting us even at 2-0 down in these conditions.

“It really is unbelievable support - so stick with us, and hopefully we can get three points against Sheffield United."
