Sheffield United's Championship rivals 'interested' in ex-Blade as Norwich 'close in' on ex-Owl

All the very latest Championship transfer rumours ahead of the window closing at 11pm on September 1.

With just over two weeks of the summer transfer window remaining, Sheffield United desperately need to add more bodies to their squad.

In addition to bringing Jaïro Riedewald back to Bramall Lane after originally releasing him, United have only drafted in three new faces so far this summer, signing Matt Doherty, Romelle Donovan and, most recently, Kalvin Phillips.

It is no secret that Blades boss Chris Wilder, who watched his side draw 0-0 with Birmingham City in their Championship opener at the weekend, is desperate to strengthen at centre-back and on the left side of midfield. United are also interested in bolstering their defensive options by bringing Anel Ahmedhodžić back to

With the clock ticking, clubs across the division are putting the finishing touches to their recruitment plans ahead of the window slamming shut at 11pm on September 1. With that in mind, here are the latest transfer rumours involving United’s Championship rivals...

Duo ‘interested’ in former Blades loanee

Burnley and Wrexham are ‘interested’ in signing former Blades loanee Jesurun Rak-Sakyi, according to a report by Football League World. The Crystal Palace winger faces an uncertain future at Selhurst Park after being sent out on loan three times since the start of the 2024/25 season.

The 23-year-old, who scored seven goals in 36 appearances for the Blades during the 2024/25 campaign, spent time on loan at both Çaykur Rizespor and Stoke City last season, making a combined 29 appearances and scoring seven times.

The report states that it is currently ‘unclear’ whether Burnley and Wrexham are planning to try and sign him on loan or permanently. Burnley are poised to strengthen their wide options before the transfer window closes, while Wrexham, should they land the Palace ace, could deploy him as an attacking midfielder or striker, considering they do not play with natural wingers.

Palace are well-stocked in the wide areas, meaning it is plausible that Rak-Sakyi will depart before the end of the window. He has made just ten senior appearances for the Londoners.

Canaries ‘advancing’ on winger

According to a report by Sky Sports, Norwich City are in ‘advanced talks’ with Fenerbahçe to sign winger Anthony Musaba. The former Sheffield Wednesday man, who left Hillsborough last summer, is poised to join the Norfolk-based outfit on loan.

It is reported that the two clubs are ‘close to an agreement’ on a deal that will see Musaba return to England for the duration of the 2026/27 season. Fenerbahçe are reportedly keen for the Dutchman to get more minutes under his belt.

After leaving Wednesday last summer, Musaba, 25, joined Samsunspor before sealing a move to Fenerbahçe in January this year. He has made 24 appearances for the Turkish giants, scoring two goals and registering six assists.

Norwich are keen to strengthen their wide options after recently losing Canadian international Ali Ahmed to an anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) injury. Musaba scored 10 goals and registered 11 assists in 72 Championship appearances during his time with Wednesday.
