- United are looking to bounce back from two defeats on the spin in the Premier League
- Jack O’Connell could make a return to the side
Wilder on Liverpool
"Congratulations to Jurgen and Liverpool from everyone at Sheffield United. Week in week out, they’ve been incredible.
We’ve had two games against them - one where we got very close and the other where we didn’t. The intensity and the desire, and that’s even before you start talking about the talented players they’ve got."
Wilder on squad mentality
"I have never questioned their honesty and never will. But there will be a reason why we haven’t produced performances and they’re not at the standard we have set so far this season.
“We have given them time to clear their heads, and I think that was important. Because they looked quite tired physically and from a mentality point of view, when you are not playing well, there is a drain too. As always, it’s come in and look forward to the next challenge.”
Wilder's here and he's looking for a 'spark'
“We’re looking for that spark. We were well beaten and could have no complaints. They were outstanding but, as I’ve always said, you look at yourselves first and our performance level was not good enough to get something out of any game.”
Billy on being 'back home' and the FA Cup
"I’ve not even thought about what we’re playing in. I’m just thinking of the next game. We are at Bramall Lane, which we hope will be of some benefit to us. It would have been some atmosphere. But we need to create that atmosphere right now."
Billy on the feeling in the squad
“The lads are devastated with their individual performances and also collectively, more importantly, as a team.”
Billy Sharp is up first ahead of the boss
“Had a few decisions that have gone against us. The Villa one was shambolic. We are in the Premier League, not Sunday League. Then the next game, the red card, there was nothing in the game. But against our performance levels aren’t what they should have been. So it was always going to be tough going to Manchester United, who are playing really well to be fair. We were nowhere near our usual levels.”
