A deep dive into the fixture list from James

When you scrutinse Sheffield United's 2020/21 Premier League fixture schedule, some key themes emerge

Chris Wilder never gets too excited when the new season’s fixtures are published.

Blades officially lose out on target

We thought that it’d go this way as soon as Fulham offered £45,000 a week… the player has chosen the money, so good luck to the lad!

Rangers signing Lundstram would be ‘a massive coup’

That’s the view of Kevin Phillips, who for some reason was asked about the Gers’ interest in contract rebel Lundstram by Football Insider.

If Steve G can secure his services, wow. You would certainly think that Rangers will go very close to challenging Celtic right the way to the end of the season for the title, but if it becomes clear that the player is going to move, it wouldn’t surprise me if there might be one or two Premier League clubs sniffing around to nick that deal. We saw how he performed in the Premier League this year. The league up there hasn’t got the same quality, so you would like to think that he would shine even more. So yeah, that would be a massive coup if they could get him to go there.”

Straight into the hard work

Blades on Amazon Prime

United’s December games against Manchester United and Burnley will be streamed on Amazon Prime.

Following on from this morning’s fixture release, Amazon were quick to confirm which games they would be screening live this year - and two of the Blades’ games over the festive period have been included.

The games were scheduled for December 15 and 28 respectively, but may now be moved to suit Amazon’s coverage.

Lundstram on the move?

According to reports in Scotland, Steven Gerrard’s Rangers are eyeing up a move for Blades midfielder, John Lundstram.

The 26-year-old is available after turning down a new contract in Sheffield, and the boyhood Liverpool fan would no doubt jump at the chance to work for Gerrard if the opportunity arose.
