Carabao Cup fourth round draw details as Sheffield United target progression
Sheffield United will be hoping to reach the Carabao Cup fourth round when they take on Fleetwood Town on Wednesday evening.
Sheffield United will be hoping to book their place in the fourth round of the Carabao Cup when they face League Two side Fleetwood Town at Highbury Stadium this evening.
The Blades, who were beaten 1–0 by Wolverhampton Wanderers in the Championship on Sunday afternoon, progressed to the third round of the competition after recording victories over Mansfield Town (3–0) and Blackburn Rovers (2–1) last month.
Fleetwood are the only League Two side remaining in the competition, meaning they will be determined to pull off a huge upset and progress to the fourth round for the first time in their history.
The Blades will, of course, be determined to avoid becoming the victims of a huge upset as they hope to progress to the fourth round for the first time since reaching the semi-finals during the 2014/15 campaign.
With the Blades keen to extend their cup run into a third month of the campaign, here are the key details you need to know ahead of the fourth-round draw...
When is the draw?
The draw for the fourth round of the Carabao Cup is scheduled to take place this evening following the conclusion of Manchester United’s third-round tie against Brighton & Hove Albion at Old Trafford.
Should the all-Premier League tie be settled without the need for a penalty shootout, the draw is set to take place at 10.15pm.
How to watch the draw
As documented, the fourth-round draw will take place following the conclusion of the aforementioned fixture at Old Trafford, which is scheduled to be broadcast live on both ITV1 and Sky Sports.
However, the draw itself will only be available to watch live on Sky Sports. It will be hosted by presenter Pien Meulensteen, while Ashley Young and Jamie Redknapp will draw the ties.
