In his weekly predictions piece for BBC Sport, the former Liverpool defender claimed that one Red Devils player will be likely to play a key role in his side securing a big win on their travels.

Lawro claimed: "Sheffield United have been brilliant so far this season but Manchester United are starting to look like a better team, just because Anthony Martial is fit again.

"I know Martial can be very up and down as an individual, but just having him on the pitch seems to make a difference and United's other attacking players - Marcus Rashford and Daniel James - are also looking very sharp.

The 62-year-old went on to reference the return of former Blades starlet Harry Maguire, and said: "I've already mentioned a couple of managers facing their old teams this weekend, but this game sees a return to a former club for a player - Manchester United's Harry Maguire, who started his career with the Blades. I think Maguire will leave with the points."

As things stand, Chris Wilder's side are sitting in fifth place in the Premier League table, after defying a host of pundits with their bright start to the campaign. While Manchester United have improved of late, they've still won just once on the road in the league so far this season.

Other highlights of Lawro's predictions include a 1-1 draw between West Ham and Spurs in Jose Mourinho's first game in charge of the north London side, and a comfortable 2-0 win for Manchester City over Chelsea.
