Writing in his weekly 'Premier League Predictions' column on BBC Sport, Lawro suggested that Wolves would emerge as 2-0 winners, and justified his selection briefly, by stating: "Sheffield United have been a breath of fresh air this season and they are great to watch.

"Wolves, however, have surprised me. I thought they would struggle with having the Premier League and Europa League but they are doing really well."

Last week, the former Liverpool man backed Manchester United to win 2-0 a Bramall Lane, and also backed Spurs to beat them 2-0 in their clash before the international break.

Meanwhile, Lawro's prediction opponent for this week, rugby star and Manchester United fan Sonny Bill Williams, backed Wolves to dish out a 4-2 thrashing, as well as a 5-0 win for his beloved Red Devils over Aston Villa.

The Blades have continued to defy their doubters through the 2019/20 campaign so far, and will be looking for another spirited performance this weekend. United don’t face another ‘big six’ side until after Christmas, and will be hopeful of emerging from a favourable run of fixtures with a healthy haul of points.
