Sheffield United manager Chris Wilder makes an admission about his players
Wilder used the label to describe players who deliberately stir trouble to further their own personal agendas, insisting he has encountered plenty within the game.
But as United attempt to avoid a fifth straight defeat when Fulham visit South Yorkshire next weekend, Wilder said: “We’ve been through tough times before. Everyone has been through tough times here and, if you’te tough, then you come through them.

That’s why, with the attitude they’ve got and that they’re bothered about the club rather than themselves, I’m really confident things will turn soon.”
United are expected to hand record signing Rhian Brewster his debut against Scott Parker’s side, after the former Liverpool striker withdrew from international duty with England’s under-21’s in order to work on his fitness. Brewster, who scored 11 times in 22 appearances during a spell on loan at Swansea City last term, cost around £23.5m - eclipsing the £22m United paid to sign Sander Berge from Genk in January.
Wilder, who is expected to reveal the extent of the injury Oliver suffered on international with Scotland shortly, said: “Yes, we all know we’ve got to get better. But there’s been a fair few things going against the boys as well, so if they keep working hard they’ll get that break.”
