Sheffield United have been linked with a striker dubbed as the ‘new Jamie Vardy’.

Muhammadu Faal is England star Joe Gomez’ second cousin, and he plays for non-league Enfield Town.

Faal has 18 goals in 19 games so far this season, and his rise has been compared with Jamie Vardy, who rose from non-league to the Premier League.

The Sun report that the Blades are one of five Premier League clubs linked with the forward, who also has nine assists this season.

Norwich, Watford, Crystal Palace and Bournemouth are the other sides that have reportedly taken an interest in his signature – the race is likely to heat up as we approach the January transfer window.
