After a successful first season back in the Premier League, Chris Wilder will be looking to build on what Sheffield United achieved and that means tweaking and evolving the squad to make them even more robust and competitive.

Philippe Coutinho was reportedly at Arsenal’s training ground on Friday to discuss a shock move from Barcelona. The Brazilian has struggled since leaving Liverpool to really kick on and spent last season on loan at Bayern Munich. He has also been linked with Arsenal, Chelsea, Leicester and Newcastle. (Express)
Bayern Munich goalkeeper Manuel Neuer has issued a plea to star midfielder Thiago Alcantara to stay at the club amidst speculation with a link away. Liverpool are favourites to sign the 29-year-old who has entered the final year of his contract. (Mirror)
Kasper Schmeichel has emerged a target for Chelsea this summer to replace Kepa Arrizabalaga. The Leicester City ace would prefer a move to Manchester United, following in his dad’s footsteps. Rangers star Borna Barisic is happy at Ibrox despite speculation over a move to Leeds United. Contracted until 2024, he is not keen on a move this summer. Barisic has had interest from AC Milan and Roma in the past. (Daily Record)
Brighton have set their sights to Spain to bring in a left-back. Villarreal star Alfonso Pedraza is the wanted man after spending the season on loan at Real Betis. The former Leeds United left-sided player could be available for as little as £8m. (The Argus)
Sheffield United have received a boost in their pursuit of right-back Matty Cash. The Nottingham Forest ace is also interesting West Ham but the Hammers won’t put in a bid until the move players on. The Blades have reportedly had a £10m bid rejected for the player. (Football Insider)
Sean Dyche believes Burnley have a strong reputation when it comes to signing players and improving them, which he hopes will work in the club's favour in the transfer market. The club have been tipped to sign Nottingham Forest's Matty Cash by ex-Spurs midfielder Jamie O'Hara who calls the player "that type". (Various)
Leeds United face stiff competition to land Liverpool’s £15m starlet Harry Wilson. Bielsa is keen on the 23-year-old forward who spent the season on loan at Bournemouth. Both Aston Villa and Newcastle are keen but reportedly Southampton lead the way for his signature. (Football Insider)
Friday was a huge day for Newcastle United as Amanda Staveley, on behalf of the PIF of Saudi Arabia, thanked the club’s fans over their support regarding the possible takeover. It followed a letter sent from supporters groups to the consortium to “make our hopes and dreams a reality”. Prime Minister Boris Johnson has also called for answers. (Shields)
