Defender Matt Hill has today revealed he is leaving Sheffield United.
The left-back’s contract at Bramall Lane expires this summer and he will not be offered fresh terms.
Hill, who joined United on a permanent basis in the summer of 2012 after being released by Blackpool, has used social media to say fond farewell to the League One club and supporters.
He posted on Twitter: “I am sad to say I am leaving Sheffield United. I have had a fantastic time with the lads, staff and fans.”
The 33-year-old played 95 times for United, featuring in their League One play-off final defeat on penalties to Huddersfield Town two years ago. He also started in both legs of their play-off semi-final loss to Yeovil Town in 2013.
