FORMER Sheffield United great Brian Deane has been appointed as the head coach of Norwegian side Sarpsborg.
Deane will take the reigns of the club who were this season promoted to Norway’s top flight.
“I am looking forward to putting my stamp on this job,” said Deane.
The 44-year-old won three caps for England and is famous for scoring the first goal in the history of the Premier League.
Deane enjoyed three spells at Bramall Lane. Renowned for his strength and accurate shooting, Deane forged a formidable partnership with Tony Agana in attack in his first stint at the club.
