Sheffield United go retro for new Adidas away kit with shirt featuring popular feature fans will love
Sheffield United have confirmed the white away kit that Chris Wilder’s players will wear throughout the 2026/27 season. The Adidas strip is the second to be unveiled this summer after the popular home shirt earlier this month.
The away kit has a retro feel and features the Adidas trefoil as well as the sponsor Midnite. Men’s players such as Olver Arblaster, Patrick Bamford and Femi Seriki joined players from the women’s team to model the new kit, with the goalkeeper version in yellow.
The early reaction from Unitedites has been positive and the Blades say that “the new kit takes inspiration from an iconic design last seen over half a century ago and features the adidas Originals trefoil logo.
“The white away shirt features a red and black diagonal sash, paying tribute to the club's away shirt from the 1975/76 season. A monochrome version of the Blades' badge sits within the sash, and the jersey is finished with the same red and black detailing on the sleeve cuffs and crew-neck collar.
“The introduction of the trefoil allows the shirt to travel way beyond the pitch, with a more lifestyle-orientated feel for fans to represent the club wherever they are.
“Black shorts and white socks complete the look, with alternate white and black editions available respectively should it be needed as United travel on the road in the upcoming season.
“Adidas brings innovative technology to the shirt, with new structured fabrics, which includes 3D knitting, body mapping, bespoke engineering on the jersey for optimal player performance.”
Fans can buy the new kit from 9am tomorrow [Friday], both online and in store.
