SHEFFIELD United have revised their training schedule after seeing the cold snap hamper preparations for tomorrow’s visit of Tranmere Rovers.

Danny Wilson, the United manager, confirmed his team will now apply the finishing touches to its tactical masterplan this afternoon after analysing the latest weather reports.

“We’ll do our work later on,” Wilson said. “If we do that then there’s a good chance we can actually do some work on grass because it’s supposedly going to get warmer.

“Like everything else, because of the frozen ground, we’ve been limited so far in what we’ve done.”

Wilson, whose side are a point and two places behind leaders Tranmere in the League One table, yesterday revealed goalkeeper Mark Howard and defender Lecsinel Jean-Francois are on course to return fron injury in the New Year.

United travel to Yorkshire rivals Leeds in the Professional Development League on January 14 and Wilson said: “Lecsy, hopefully, will be involved in the next under-21 game we play and the same goes for Mark.”
