Nketiah returned to London earlier this week, having made only four starts since moving to Elland Road, and could feature in the squad which faces Chris Wilder’s team.

Leeds, who were pipped to automatic promotion by United last term before being beaten in the play-offs, also saw Jack Clarke recalled by Tottenham Hotspur.

Although Arteta was not in post when he signed Nketiah, Bielsa said: “About these new players in the team: I have done all the explanations, given all the information, the unfair treatment of Arsenal and Nketiah.

“When they chose Leeds, they thought a lot about it. They chose us over the other options they had. We did everything we said we were going to do. So, we have nothing to claim ourselves.”
