Unitedites saw their team clinch back-to-back victories for the first time this season and enjoyed a first career hat-trick from Sydie Peck.

Peck becomes the first Sheffield United player to score three in a game since Billy Sharp against Aston Villa in February 2019.

The Blades conceded in the opening minutes before Peck grabbed the game by the scruff of the neck and netted three times in the space of 20 or so minutes.

“Apart from the first two minutes and maybe the last five minutes, I thought my team was outstanding,” boss Chris Wilder said at full-time. “We gave them an obvious lift and a leg up with the start.”

On Peck’s performance, he said: “His all-round performance was excellent.”

“I'm talking about playing him higher and getting in the box and making forward runs. He's done it right the way through his young career, scored goals, and he needs to score more.”
