Sheffield United fans discover details of Portugal pre-season friendly

Sheffield United have confirmed details of their latest pre-season fixture which will take place on their tour of Portugal later this month.

Paul Heckingbottom’s men will face Portuguese Primeira League outfit Estoril, with the fixture taking place at the Estádio António Coimbra da Mota on Wednesday July 19, kicking off at 7.30pm local time.

The Blades say ticket information will follow in due course for fans hoping to make the trip over and support their team on their warm-weather training camp, ahead of the new season. The Canaries finished 14th in Portugal’s top-flight last term.

United will also face top-flight opposition from Germany and Spain in pre-season, in Stuttgart and Girona respectively, as well as taking on local opposition in Derby County, Rotherham United and Chesterfield away from home. United plan to stream all six fixtures online for fans not able to make the matches.
