Nottinghamshire Live report that the Blades are one of a number of teams interested in the highly-rated forward, with teams from both the Premier League and the Championship interested in his signature.

Norwich City and Burnley are the other top-flight sides in contention, while Brentford, Bristol City and Nottingham Forest are the Championship sides.

The 29-year-old's contract reportedly expires at the end of the season, so Charlton may be forced to cash in this January if they cannot convince him to sign a new deal.

Taylor has suffered from knee injuries this season, which is one factor that may put off potential suitors in the January window.
