Sheffield United equal Premier League record with Norwich City victory... but Enda Stevens says 'we're still learning in top flight'

Chris Wilder's Blades beat Norwich City 2-1 at Carrow Road on Sunday, to take them to 22 points for the season and also extend their unbeaten away run to eight games. In doing so, United matched Kenny Dalglish’s Blackburn Rovers as the only newly-promoted team to avoid defeat in their first eight games on their travels since the Premier League era began in 1992.

This current run is also United's longest without losing from the start of a top-flight season since 1899-1900. United trailed 1-0 at half-time at Carrow Road, before goals from Stevens and fellow wing-back George Baldock gave them victory.

And Stevens said: "We knew we weren't at it in the first half ourselves, before the gaffer came into the dressing room.

"It was unlike us but it's a learning curve for most of us in this league. If you're not at it, then you'll be punished.

“And we were in the first half.

“But we dug deep and stayed in the game, and in the second half we got on the front foot and deservedly won the game."

Boss Wilder said: “We’ve been consistent in our approach, home or away. We don’t do anything different.

“The attitude has been great.

“The boys roll their sleeves up and embrace the challenge.

“When the pressure has been on this year, which is always because of the nature of the Premier League, they stick together and they give it a go.”
