Morrison on why he's left United for Boro
DONE DEAL: Morrison joins Boro on loan for rest of the season
Ravel Morrison has joined Middlesbrough on loan from United for the rest of the season.
The former Manchester United forward, 26, joined the Blades in the summer but has only made four first-team appearances.
Warnock backs 'fabulous' United to qualify for Europe
Former Sheffield United manager Neil Warnock has backed the Blades to secure a European berth in their first season back in the Premier League for 12 years.
Warnock made his comments after United completed their third signing in two days with Greek defender Panos Retsos joining until the end of the season from Bundesliga side Bayer Leverkusen.
Retsos follows new club record signing, Norwegian midfielder Sander Berge, and Dutch forward Richairo Zivkovic into Bramall Lane this week.
And Warnock said the backing Wilder has received from owner Prince Abdullah, coupled with the Blades' manager's tactical nous, have been instrumental in the club's impressive transformation.
"The system that they play is so difficult to play against. He's got this system, Chris, and nobody knows how to play against it and they're Premier League teams," said Warnock, speaking on Sky Sports News' Deadline Day: The Countdown show tonight.
"He's improved the squad tonight. He's got three good players in and I'm really pleased for them. I think they can get into Europe.
"I look at the squad now. The Prince has been a blessing in disguise to Chris Wilder.
"He took over and said at a fans' forum, I don't know when it was, a couple months ago or a month ago, that he won't be buying a lot of players but would give Chris the money to attain three quality players - top players - and that's what he's got.
"You can't ask for any more than that if your owner looks after you like that.
"All credit to the Prince and Chris will be absolutely delighted. The lad (Sander) Berge is a good player in midfield and it's just what they needed.
"They've got good players and now they're just getting that little bit more without affecting the work ethic because they work hard together as a team.
"The type of lads they have got in, is lovely.
"Sheffield United, I think they have done the best business of everybody in regards to making their team better than what it was - giving it more opportunity and I think Chris has done an amazing job and I think the Prince has supported him. Fabulous."
Wilder hopes Retsos' stay at Bramall Lane will be longer than six months
POLL: How happy are you with United's transfer window?
Retsos joins 'initially' on the loan until the end of the season
United have completed their second signing of the day with Greece defender Panos Retsos from Bundesliga outfit Bayer Leverkusen on an initial deal until the end of the season.
He follows in the footsteps of Dutch striker Richairo Zivkovic, who also joined on loan for the remainder of the current campaign earlier today.
It's United's fifth signing this month and boss Chris Wilder said he was delighted to have brought in Retos.
He said: "Panos is another who comes to us with a great pedigree and hopefully we can help progress his career. He is young, talented and one that we've had our eye on for quite a while.
"He's an international who has played at the top level and cost a lot of money when moving across Europe.
"Now he wants to prove himself in the Premier League and this initial loan spells is a perfect opportunity for Panos to have a look at us and us to have a good look at him."
