According to the Mail, with the top flight looking towards playing the remaining games in neutral venues, the FA are planning on hosting all ties at Wembley.

That would see Sheffield United take on Arsenal in the capital, in the quarter-finals of the competition.

The Blades were due to take on Mikel Arteta’s side at Bramall Lane on March 22, however football came to a halt the week before due to the Covid-19 pandemic.

As well as United v Arsenal, the proposal would see Newcastle face Manchester City, Manchester United take on Norwich and Leicester against Chelsea – all at Wembley.
