Football Insider claims United have reached an agreement with the Championship pacesetters to allow the former Preston man to sign on loan before the transfer window shuts on Friday.

Robinson has struggled to hold down a place in Chris Wilder’s starting XI since his summer move from Deepdale, although he did start the Blades’ FA Cup tie at Millwall on Saturday.

However, before the weekend, all but two of the 24-year-old’s last eight appearances have been as a substitute – including coming off the bench to play a part in John Fleck’s equaliser in the 1-1 draw at Arsenal earlier this month.

“It was nice at Arsenal to get more than 10 or 15 minutes. I enjoyed that and at the back end of the game I was right in the mix of it,” he said.
