Wilder on McBurnie and McGoldrick

“Didzy, it’s not serious, so we’ll assess that,” Wilder said. “We’re hopeful he’ll be okay. Oli was just tired and leggy, which is expected to because of what he puts in. There are a lot of tired bodies out there.”

. . . but Blades fans are in dreamland

Wolves fans are far from happy . . .

Boss hails impressive key men

In an ideal world he'd have had another week to 10 days but he stuck his hand up and thought it was important to get him out on the grass. I thought Sander was excellent and Ollie Norwood back to his best. Look at the players John Egan has played against in last week, Lacazette, Kane Rodriguez and tonight Jimenez, one of top strikers in the league. Him coming back to his best and everyone around him gives us a chance of getting a result. He was excellent and so was everyone around him.

Chris Wilder

Wilder on return to form and Chelsea

It was a difficult night against Man United regardless of the players they have, we had a reset and were better against Arsenal. Seven points out of nine in the Premier League is a really good return and we have to go again and quickly. We haven't got the strength and power of other clubs and are stretched but we’ve got plenty of heart and bottle and have to go again against a powerful club in the Premier League.

Chris Wilder

Wilder on goalscoring hero Egan

John owes me eight still, not sure he'll get there before the end of the season. A fabulous set-piece from Ollie and a fabulous desire to smash a header past a talented side. I was just delighted there was only 20 seconds left!

Chris Wilder

United boss on ‘amazing’ drive and desire

We rode our luck a couple of times but didn't want to be a team that sat in and  waited to be defeated. The drive and desire was amazing. There were a lot of tired bodies out there . I'd have been satisfied with a result and with the performance we put in, but to get a winner was reward for the effort of the players.

Chris Wilder

Wilder hails players’ efforts

We were really stretched against an outstanding team in the Premier League and I was delighted with what I got from the players tonight.

Chris Wilder

Egan on his goalscoring exploits

It was an intense game, both teams went for it. We can't be judged only by the last moment. Sheffield is an organised team but we had chances that we should have done better with, we are looking to improve in the next game.
