Sander Berge: Norwegian midfielder completes medical ahead of club record move to Sheffield United

The 21-year-old midfielder is at Shirecliffe after staying overnight in Sheffield and has moved a step closer to securing a move to the Premier League after his medical was completed this afternoon.

Chris Wilder, the United boss, revealed this morning that he hopes to sign “two or three” players ahead of tomorrow’s 11pm deadline.

United travel to Crystal Palace this weekend. “We're working away at a number of deals and we're close to getting over the line," Wilder said at his pre-match press conference this morning.

"They will be presented in time when everything's done, out of respect for everyone involved.

"Until they sign on the dotted line and everything's agreed, we're still working away."
