The Blades boss has highlighted the importance of the January window in giving his side impetus with new signings - but must also balance the books by shipping players out and keeping a relatively small group.

Wilder revealed the likes of Richard Stearman, Kean Bryan, Jake Wright, Leon Clarke and Ben Heneghan may depart in the January window.

"The likes of Richard, Kean, Jake, Leon and Ben need games," the United manager said.

"The group is in a good place at the minute. We just need a tinker and hopefully we can do that."
