Nigel Clough, the Sheffield United manager, has urged Jamie Murphy and Ryan Flynn to ‘Remember Aston Villa’ ahead of Sunday’s FA Cup fourth round tie against Fulham after acknowledging their games are build on self-belief.
The midfield duo were both on target as the League One club toppled Paul Lambert’s top-flight side earlier this month to set up their meeting with the visitors from Craven Cottage.
Although neither is guaranteed a place when United bid to reach the fifth phase of the competition, Clough admitted events in the Midlands could influence his selections picks for an encounter which also guarantees the victory a cheque for £90,000.
“Jamie and Ryan have shown what they are capable of lately,” he said.
