Reading v Blades LIVE
Gibbs-White volleys on the turn
as the ball falls to him, it’s a difficult one and he can’t keep it down, sending the effort high over the Reading bar
HALF-TIME
AAND there’s boos in the stadium at the whistle, hard to tell if any came from the away fans as well but it’s not been a vintage half of football for either set of fans to witness, let’s say - MGW had the best chance when his free-kick hit the crossbar but that’s been about as good as it’s been for the Blades, while Reading had a cross scrambled away and another put into a good area, but no-one could get on the end of it. Let’s hope for more in the second half (now, how many times have we said that this season?)
Half-time player ratings..
Foderingham 5
Bogle 5
Basham 5
Egan 5
Davies 5.5
Stevens 4.5
Norwood 5.5
Fleck 4.5
MGW 5
McGoldrick 5.5
Brewster 4.5
Bogle wins the free-kick
with some fast feet to beat his man, the challenge comes in and the ref rightly blows, Norwood will probably put this into the mixer you’d think... it’s in towards Egan but he can’t get off the ground and the chance goes begging
Superb ball in
from Swift, I think, goes right across the corridor of uncertainty of United’s box - Foderingham isn’t sure whether to come or stay and is stuck in no man’s land, but no-one gets a touch on it and it rolls out to safety
Good from Davies
to get across and cut out the cross as Reading finally looked to attack United, it was Yiadom’s centre that was cut out and from the resulting corner Reading head just over the bar
