Rangers legend urges Sheffield United to draw inspiration from Burnley's win at Liverpool for Man Utd clash

The Blades make the trip across the Pennines with just five points to their name and come up against a Red Devils side in a rich vein of form which has seen them firmly establish themselves as genuine contenders to win their first Premier League crown since 2013.
Chris Wilder’s men are 12 points off 17th place Brighton and have won just once in the league all season – a dismal record which even the United boss admits leaves his side needing to produce something ‘extraordinary’ to beat the drop.
And while McCoist believes Wilder’s outfit will be relegated, he has urged the Blades to take a leaf out of Burnley’s book when they come up against Ole Gunnar Solskjær’s side.
“As much as I’m sitting here saying the players still have to believe I fear it’s almost impossible for them,” said the Rangers legend, speaking on talkSPORT Breakfast with Laura Woods.
"But then again, you put yourself in Sheffield United’s shoes and the gaffer Chris Wilder has got to say to his lads ‘look what happened the other week, just look what happened at Anfield. They (Liverpool) were 60/70 games undefeated (at home) and Burnley, who maybe were three or four places above us, went there and got a 1-0 victory’.
"So you have to believe but it’s going to be a tough, old season for Sheffield United.
"In many ways it’s been difficult because you can argue they overachieved – and they did overachieve last year with some of their results and some of their performances – but I did not expect to see them where they are at this moment in time.”
