Lundstram was widely expected to leave Bramall Lane this summer, as talks aimed at extending his deal beyond this June did not reach a conclusion.

Chris Wilder, the United manager, revealed that he would invite offers for Lundstram in January, rather than risk losing him for free in the summer, albeit the injury to Sander Berge and the lack of incomings during the last window scuppered that plan.

But Lundstram, speaking ahead of Sunday's clash with Chelsea at Bramall Lane, admitted: "It's the same situation, everything's still on the table. We'll see what happens. Of course, [speculation] is bound to happen but I'm here and while I am here I'm committed, as you've seen in my performances.

"I'm 110 per cent and no-one can question that. Who knows what will happen but while I'm here, I'll give everything."

The midfielder has been linked with clubs including Rangers and Newcastle United, after his impressive debut season in the Premier League in 2019/20.

Asked if there was a chance of leaving in January, Lundstram said: "January was all about the games for me, getting my head down and working in training and get the results. It was a good month, it was quite an enjoyable one because we were picking up results."

Speaking late last year, Wilder admitted it was "frustrating" that Lundstram's contract situation hadn't reached a resolution.
