QPR v Blades
Osborn gets in behind
but his cross is diverted behind for another Blades corner - Gibbs-White was screaming for the cutback and isn’t happy but Fleck delivers the corner and it HITS THE POST before being cleared off the line! Wow!
Good intent from United
in the start of this second half as Egan gees up the fans behind the goal, they win another corner which Norwood takes ... it’s headed clear by Dunne before Robinson is denied by a great save from Mahoney from the resulting cross from Norwood
United almost equalise
seconds into the half as Robinson’s long throw tests Mahoney, his punch isn’t great and Gibbs-White pokes the loose ball goalwards but it’s cleared off the line
Half-time
and the Blades trail at the break in a game they really have to win to keep hold of their play-off place - they started really well and dominated the ball but young Mahoney in the home goal, playing only his second senior game, has not been tested at all. At the other end Foderingham hasn’t been overworked either but has been beaten once and made a smart save on the edge of half-time - United have a lot to do to get back into this one, but you feel they’ll have to find a way somehow if they’re to salvage their play-off push. Stick with us for the second half to see if they can ...
Ndiaye fires over
after Berge won the ball back in midfield and fed the young man - he fashioned a yard of space but then blazed his shot well over the bar
Tame effort
from Gibbs-White after he’s fed by Berge - he had options to pass but looked to bend it home and the QPR goalkeeper saves comfortably
GOAL QPR
and it’s Charlie Austin who gets it, heading in Adomah’s cross after getting across Basham - he celebrates in front of the Blades fans after bundling into the corner and that’s a real blow for the Blades in a game they really need to win
Chance for Basham
as the corner from the right falls nicely into his path, he’s on the angle slightly but can’t get his shot on target
