BBC Sport pundit Mark Lawrenson has tipped the Red Devils to claim a 2-0 victory, and suggested a lack of attacking potency has undermined the Blades' post-lockdown performances thus far.

Lawro claimed: "Sheffield United are another side who have not made much attacking impact since the Premier League restarted.

"That is obviously going to be a major problem for them in terms of getting anything at Old Trafford. On top of that, things are going against them - like their red card in Sunday's defeat at Newcastle and their 'goal' that wasn't given against Aston Villa.

"This will be their third away game on the trot, which hardly helps matters either, so I will go with a Manchester United win here."

Despite offering the Blades a fair amount of praise throughout the season, the 63-year-old has only backed Chris Wilder's side to win seven of their thirty Premier League clashes thus far; if his predictions had all come true, United would be perilously close to the relegation zone.

The last time the two sides met back in November, fans at Bramall Lane were treated to an enthralling spectacle, as the Blades raced into a 2-0 lead, only to end up trailing 3-2, before Oli McBurnie secured a dramatic late equaliser.
